The Get It Free Transit Offer is a program designed to help residents of the
Middle Monongahela River Valley who are unemployed or underemployed better
their position in today’s economy and workforce.
MMVTA is offering free public bus transportation to qualified individuals who are
traveling to a job interview anywhere the MMVTA has bus service to and from
(limit 3 round trips for travel to interviews). Plus, the MMVTA will provide a
complimentary 10 Trip Book of Tickets to anyone obtaining employment
as a result of the interview.
Who is eligible? The program is open to all who
meet the following criteria:

Residents who can commute on MMVTA regular routed buses
(offer not valid for UPLIFT paratransit)

Must be 18 years of age or older and not a full-time student

Persons who are unemployed

Persons who are currently working 20 hours or less a week
Qualifying job seekers must register by using the form below at least one business day before scheduled interview. Individuals must provide their name, address, phone number, email (if applicable), the name of the company interviewing with and their point of origination and destination. Job seekers can request up to 3 round trips for travel to interviews compliments of the MMVTA. However, you must re-register for each request.
How to receive the complimentary 10 Trip Book of Tickets
To qualify for the 10 Trip Book of Tickets, individuals must provide the MMVTA type written proof that they were hired by the employer who they originally listed during program enrollment. MMVTA will accept proof of employment via the following:
NOTE: DRIVERS will NOT issue complimentary rides or Books of Tickets for this program. Complimentary ride vouchers for travel to interviews will be directly issued from the MMVTA’s administrative offices via US Mail, email PDF voucher or in person at the Transit Center. All complimentary 10 Trip Book of Tickets will be sent to qualifying individuals via US Mail.
