8/2/2010 - Castle Shannon Route 88 closure/detour from Pittsburgh on Commuter A Service

Starting on Monday, August 2 Route 88 in Castle Shannon between Killarney/6th Street and Castle Shannon Boulevard on the southbound side or travel from Pittsburgh side will be closed until at least the end of August.

Due to the impending traffic delays both Commuter A travel to and from Pittsburgh will be detoured around this area.

UPDATED Commuter A buses going to Pittsburgh will travel NORMAL route via 88 North to the South Busway into Downtown Pittsburgh.

Commuter A buses traveling from Pittsburgh will use the following detour:Regular route from Downtown (note temporary stop change at beginning of route to Greyhound effective 8/3)
Exit Busway at Palm Garden
Follow 19 South to Connor Rd
Left onto Connor Rd.
Right onto Route 88 South to regular route

Note: due to detour there will be no pick up stops on the South Busway after Palm Garden or along Route 88 until Connor Rd.
