9/6/10 - Labor Day Service and Detour in Downtown Pittsburgh for parade

In observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 6 MMVTA's Commuter A will operate on the Sunday/Holiday Schedule. All other routes will not be in operation.

Normal weekday routing and schedules will be back in effect on Tuesday, September 7.

The MMVTA offices and Transit Center will be closed on Monday, September 6.

Also be aware that there is the annual Labor Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 AM and last until about 1 PM.

The Commuter A leaving Donora at 8 AM and scheduled to arrive in Pittsburgh at 9:48 may be rerouted in Pittsburgh.

The 10 AM Commuter A leaving Pittsburgh for the Valley will only have access to the stops leaving the Greyhound Station or a temporary stop located at Smithfield St. at 7th Ave. The 10 AM Commuter A will turn left off of Smithfield St. up 7th Ave. to access the Liberty Bridge/Tunnel to the South Busway. Therefore, there will no stops at South Hills Junction on the South Busway until after the parade.

All other Commuter A buses on Monday, September 6 will operate on normal route.
